About Virginia Highlands Park Tennis Courts
Located at Unnamed Road, Arlington, VA 22202, Virginia Highlands Park Tennis Courts operates as a tennis court serving Arlington in Virginia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ8:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 27 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tennis courts in Arlington.
Arlington is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Arlington is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Virginia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Well lit and plenty of courts (6) that are in great condition. Very busy, expect a wait if you didn't reserve in advance on the Arlington county website. There is also free wifi so you could live here if they just installed a toilet.

The tennis wall sections arent clean. The some wall screws were loose so I tightened them with coin ..No maintenance There are rotten leaves there. The space between the two walls is full of dozens of tenis balls. Why aren't the balls collected πΎπΎand given to the use of those who come..Weird π€Also why is there no fixed bench inside? Plastic white chairs are constantly changing places. I hope the authorities will take care of it.

A nice place for outdoor activities. Ground tennis, basketball π, soccer, basketball, free areas for group workouts and running. Available from early morning to 10pm as I am aware.

This park is great, the tennis courts are fantastic but parks and rec needs to enforce the tennis only in the tennis wall. Too often I see kids kicking a soccer ball at the wall and this is why the wall breaks, it's meant for tennis not soccer!
